Web App
Dialogue includes a web application for accessing your shared and collaborative documents from any browser. The web app complements the native macOS app — use it when you’re away from your Mac or need to collaborate with someone who doesn’t have the desktop app installed.
What You Can Do
- View and edit shared documents with the same rich BlockNote editor
- Collaborate in real time with live cursors and instant updates
- Manage shares — see your documents, view what’s been shared with you, and control permissions
- Open public links — access documents shared via public URL without an account
- Security settings — manage TOTP two-factor authentication and WebAuthn passkeys
Getting Started
- Open the web app in any modern browser
- Sign in with your Dialogue account (the same email and password used on macOS)
- Your shared documents appear on the dashboard
The Editor
The web editor uses BlockNote, the same rich-text editor used in the macOS app. It supports:
- Headings, lists, and paragraphs
- Bold, italic, and inline formatting
- Code blocks
- Drag-and-drop block reordering
- Dark and light themes (follows your system preference or manual toggle)
Admin Panel
Organization administrators have access to an admin panel in the web app for managing users, organizations, and system settings.
Relationship to the macOS App
The web app is designed for collaboration and cross-platform access. The macOS app remains the primary client for:
- Meeting recording and transcription (requires local audio capture)
- Speaker identification (runs on-device)
- Offline-first local note editing
- Full encrypted sync of all data
Documents edited on the web sync back to the macOS app through the collaboration and sync layers.
